On this page you will find a list of words we are learning in kindergarten... you may hear your child refer to these as "word wall" words. These are words that occur often in text and can be called "sight words", as these are important to know right away while reading.

Please practice these with your child at home every night! The more practice, the easier reading will be for them.

Using activities such as flash cards, picking out these words in a book/magazine and highlighing, writing the words in sensory materials such as shaving cream, sand, or with chalk are fun ways to help your child practice and master these words.
